Explanation

This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to enter into a planned contract modification (Mod #5) with 360water, Inc. for the purposes of providing on-going Facilities and Safety Training Management and Documentation Services for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage and the Division of Power and Water (Water).

The contract allows for the on-going safety training including General Illness and Illness Response for Employees Training, Laboratory Safety and Inspections, Scissors and Aerial Lifts, Welding/Cutting Safety, Inspection and Maintenance for Eye Wash and Shower Stations, General Housekeeping, Construction Safety, Hand and Body Positioning, Watershed SPCC Training, 910 Dublin Road SPCC Training, Crane Safety. Furthermore the contract includes a continuation of Process Courseware for the WWTPs, Maintenance Tool Training, DPU server maintenance, JPWWTP server maintenance, and the Integrated Contingency Plan updates for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, a regulatory USEPA requirement. New training includes Red Flag Rule Training, Risk Management Plan, Emergency Overflow Response and Notification Plan Training.

The fifth modification is part of the planned scope of services included in the contract. The original language allowed for five (5) planned modifications. The funding is for approximately one (1) year or until the scope of work is completed and funds are exhausted; this will most likely extend into the first quarter of 2013. It is a logical extension of the original contract and expands the training and documentation to include training staff of the Division of Sewerage and Drainage and Division of Power and Water. The Department of Public Utilities will re-bid this contract after this 5th and final modification.
