To Honor the 40th Pastoral Anniversary of Reverend Dr. Charles E. Booth

WHEREAS, Rev. Dr. Charles Edward Booth is a graduate of Howard University, has received a Master of Divination from the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Divinity from the United Theological Seminary; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Booth has overseen immense growth at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and founded the Mt. Olivet Christian Academy, which is fully accredited by the Ohio Department of Education; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Booth has been recognized in a number of works and has also published his own work predicated upon African-American preachers; and
WHEREAS, through great fundraising and development efforts, Dr. Booth was able to expand Mt. Olivet by building a 100-seat chapel, administrative wing, and several classrooms; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Booth is an accomplished pastor who leads his congregation by focusing on providing spiritual nurturing and information
WHEREAS, upon this Anniversary, the City of Columbus commends Rev. Dr. Charles E. Booth on his forty years of crucial community service and drive for improvement through his pastoral work; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrate the 40th Pastoral Anniversary of Reverend Dr. Charles E. Booth.
