Explanation

This ordinance amends the Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance 2713-2013, as amended, by amending several portions of the Management Compensation Plan in order to update or modify language; to increase the service credit payment; to increase the shift differential; to update tuition reimbursement rules and benefits; to update jury duty rules; to add incremental use to the personal business day; to clarify injury leave vacation accrual; to add eight (8) additional hours to the sick leave bank; and to clarify rules for the time donation program.

Emergency action is recommended in order to begin implementation.

Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by adding the definition of COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Recovery Act) to Section 3; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending language in Section 5(C) to refer to contracts as agreements; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 7(A) to increase service credit payments; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 7(B) to increase shift differential amounts; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 7(E) to modify and update several portions of the tuition reimbursement program; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 10(B) to permit jury duty in any Ohio county; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 10(F) to permit incremental use of the personal business day; and
