Explanation
BACKGROUND
This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to establish a contract with Consolidated Services & Management LLC for the maintenance of properties held by the Land Redevelopment Division and to authorize the expenditure of $60,000.00. The purpose of the lawn care program is to provide services such as routine mowing, removal of brush and excessive high grass, and all foreign material, and similar work for properties held by the Land Redevelopment Division.
The companies responded to an Invitation to Bid, RFQ-020241 in 2021 and were selected by an evaluation committee as the companies with the best proposals based on prior experience, resources and qualifications. The bids allow the establishment of one year contracts with an option to extend an additional year.
The Department of Development advertised RFQ020241 on Vendor Services in November 2021 for the lawn care program and 18 bids were received. The Director of Development will enter into contract with twelve bidders under the authority of Columbus City Code Section 329.19. The contract period is from the date of approval of the purchase order to February 28, 2023, with an option to modify and renew one additional year, through 2024.
Emergency action is requested in order to continue to provide services without interruption.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is available in fund 2206.
CONTRACT COMPLIANCE: the vendor number is 012297 and expires 1/3/2024.
