To Recognize and Celebrate Sue Dostal as a 2021 Recipient of the Ohio State Legal Services Association Pro Bono Award.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Sue Dostal is the recipient of the 2021 OSLSA Pro Bono Award in recognition of her work with the virtual advice clinics during COVID-19 pandemic; and

 

WHEREAS, Sue earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Akron in 1992 and her law degree from Case Western University in 1996, and has taught as a Senior Lecturer and an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Akron and Stark State College; and

 

WHEREAS, Sue currently works in private practice, focusing on family law, probate law and public law, and as a Family Court Mediator in the Stark County Family Court; and

 

WHEREAS, Sue began volunteering with the Southeast Ohio Legal Services in 2019; and

 

WHEREAS, Sue is an invaluable addition to the pro bono community of Columbus, positively impacts the lives of her clients, and contributes greatly to the operations of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and Southeast Ohio Legal Services; and

 

WHEREAS, The Legal Aid Society of Columbus is led by a dedicated team of attorneys who are passionate about providing legal services to low-income individuals and it is an honor and a privilege to work with an organization that is committed to making the daily lives of Columbus residents better - an fact exemplified by the service of attorneys such as Sue Dostal; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

 

That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrate Sue Dostal as the 2021 Recipient of Ohio State Legal Services Association Pro Bono Award.
