To Recognize and Congratulate Angela F. Swain for receiving the 2021 Donald R. Hallman LGBTQ Veterans Recognition Award

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, Angela F. Swain is a 6-year veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserve, serving selflessly as a medic in Wiesbaden, Germany; and

 

WHEREAS, On top of passing her EMT certification, she also had 80 Orthopedic Specialist Training and graduated from the 2 week Medical Proficiency Training Program in Frankfurt Germany. She served as a Medic with the 557th Medical Company (Ambulance) and drove an ambulance; and

 

WHEREAS, Angela covered missions throughout Germany, assisting training exercises within her own company as well as any other Company that needed their services, her medical training assistance, and/or any field training coverage; and

 

WHEREAS, After her honorable discharge Angela has served in a different way, working as a high school teacher in central Ohio. According to her girlfriend Jorie, she works tirelessly to care for her students and her community; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: 

 

That this Council does hereby express its appreciation for Angela F. Swain for her service to this country and the Columbus community. This Council does hereby congratulate her on receiving the 2021 Donald R. Hallman LGBTQ Veterans Recognition Award from Stonewall Columbus.
