Explanation
BACKGROUND: To authorize the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a contract with Applied Industrial Technologies for the purchase of Magnetic Couplings to be used by the Division of Sewerage and Drainage. The equipment will be used by the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant to control odors.
The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of City Code Chapter 329 relating to competitive bidding (RFQ021443). Ninety-seven (97) bidders were solicited and one bid was received and opened on April 21, 2022.
After a review of the bid, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage recommends an award be made for all items to Applied Industrial Technologies in the amount of $87,357.34 as the only responsive, responsible and best bidder.
