Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase Longitudinal Channelizers with Qwick Kurb. The Division of Traffic Management is the primary user for traffic control devices. Longitudinal Channelizers are used to divert traffic on City streets. Qwick Kurb is the sole source for these parts and services as they are the only local distributor and authorized service provider for this specific manufacturer. Pricing was obtained by submitting a specification and proposal page to the vendor, Qwick Kurb. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately 3 years, expiring December 31, 2025, with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. In addition, the expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO002025.
