Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into a professional services contract with Glaus, Pyle, Schomer, Burns & Dehaven, Inc. dba GPD Group in the amount of up to $500,000.00 for the Signals - General Engineering 2022 project.

The intent of this project is to provide the City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, with continuing, contractual access to additional resources that are necessary to perform traffic signal facilities design and associated tasks.

The Department of Public Service solicited Requests for Proposals for the Signals - General Engineering 2022 contract. The project was formally advertised on the Vendor Services and Bonfire web sites from September 28, 2022 to October 26, 2022. The city received three (3) responses. All proposals were deemed responsive and were fully evaluated when the Evaluation Committee met on November 1, 2022. The responding firms were:

GPD Group received the highest score by the evaluation committee and will be awarded the Signals - General Engineering 2022 contract.

2. CONTRACT COMPLIANCE
The contract compliance number for GPD Group is CC006560 and expires 5/20/2023.

3. FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for this contract is budgeted, available, and appropriated within Fund 2265, the Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund.
