Explanation
Background:
The City of Columbus owns Genoa Park immediately east of COSI along with the building that COSI operates which is located at 333 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio, 43215. The City has determined that it is in their best interest to enter into an agreement with the Franklin County Historical Society (dba COSI) for the purposes of renovating and improving the building and surrounding grounds. In order to facilitate the renovation of the building, it is necessary for the City and COSI to enter into this agreement for the purposes of setting forth the terms and conditions therein.
The Guaranteed Maximum Cost to be reimbursed by the City for the design and construction of improvements shall not exceed $750,000.00.
This ordinance allows the Director of Recreation and Parks to authorize payment of Recreation and Parks Voted Bond Funds for the renovation of COSI facility.
