Title: To authorize the Director of the Department of Public Service to execute those documents necessary for the City to grant an encroachment easement, allowing concrete steps and landing within the public rights-of-way needed for this project.
Explanation
1. Background
The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, received a request from Frederick F. Campbell, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Columbusasking that the City allow the installation of concrete steps and landing within the public right-of-way. During the design phase of the Saint Charles Preparatory School West Campus project, it was determined steps and a landing would need to be installed to allow access to an employee apartment. This project is located at 1886 East Long Street. The steps and landing will extend into the public right-of-way approximately 6 feet. The following legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Public Service to execute those documents necessary for the City to grant an encroachment easement to legally allow the installation of the proposed steps and landing within the public rights-of-way needed for this project. A value of $500.00 was established for this encroachment easement.

2. Fiscal Impact
The City will receive a total of $500.00, to be deposited in Fund 748, for granting the requested encroachment easement.
