Councilmember Shayla Favor, Chair of the Housing, Homelessness, and Building Committee, will hold a hearing on Tuesday, November 12th at 5pm at Columbus City Hall to provide the community with an update on the remaining pieces of the Housing For All Legislative Package, which including Rent Increase Notification, the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Pilot Program, Wholesaler Regulation, and Rental Registry. Additionally, she will share some exciting results from a commissioned study that was done on a previously passed initiative as well as hear two other pieces of legislation related to housing being put forward by the Department of Development: Notice of Inspection at point of sale and an Eviction Bond. Lastly, Building and Zoning Services will present new information regarding the Fee Schedule as well as a Taxicab Fair update.
The hearing is an opportunity for residents to provide input about the legislation and learn more about each legislative piece.
