The following resolution will be heard at the December 16, 2025, Columbus Board of Health meeting.
To authorize the Environmental Health Division to amend educational course fees.
WHEREAS, the Columbus Public Health offers ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification courses on behalf of the National Restaurant Association to provide food operators with the knowledge, techniques, and skills required for safe food operations; and,
WHEREAS, the Columbus Public Health offers Person in Charge Certification courses to provide food operators with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills required to prepare and serve food safely; and
WHEREAS, the staff of Columbus Public Health assessed the financial status of food protection courses offered to determine if revenues offset expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the staff of Columbus Public Health recommend increasing food protection course fees to offset expenditures; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Environmental Health Division amend course fees for ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and Person in Charge Certification as specified in the following table:
