Columbus City Council will hold a series of public hearings regarding the Mayor’s proposed 2026 Operating Budget. The theme of this hearing, chaired by CM Bankston, will be Economic Development & Small and Minority Business and will cover the budgets of the Department of Development (Economic Development Division; Small Business Office) and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Any resident seeking to submit written testimony should forward it to the office of Council Member Bankston. Written testimony must be received by 10am on the day of the hearing (Friday) and emailed to Jonathan Brown at jbbrown@columbus.gov. All persons wishing to speak during the hearing in person must email jbbrown@columbus.gov by 10am the day of the hearing (Friday) with the subject line “January 16th Operating Budget Hearing”. Each speaker will be limited to remarks lasting no longer than three minutes. The meeting will be live streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook.
