Vice Chair Role discussion
? Vice Chair supports the Chair and assumes Chair’s responsibilities in the event of their absence. This role is highly supportive in nature, but also preparatory for current commission work and future commissions if they decide to run for Chair after their Vice Chair role ends.
? Serves on the executive committee and ensures all committees are working well to support the mission of the commission.
? Ideally this person is present at all meetings the Chair has with City Council and Mayor’s office staff.
? Has at least one monthly meeting with the Chair to work on meeting agendas and discuss committee updates.
? Qualifications:
? Must have at least a 2-year term limit
? Willingness and capacity to lead and carry out responsibilities
? Can effectively and professionally work with the Chair
