On Tuesday September 15th, Council Member Bankston, chair of the Economic Development & Small and Minority Business Committee will hold a hearing to discuss adjusting the city’s wage threshold for its tax incentive offerings.
The city’s wage threshold policy sets the minimum wage for jobs directly produced from a tax incentive.

Any resident seeking to submit written testimony should forward it to the office of Council Member Bankston. Written testimony must be received by 10am on the day of the hearing (Tuesday) and emailed to Jonathan Brown at jbbrown@columbus.gov.
All persons wishing to speak during the hearing in person must email jbbrown@columbus.gov by 10am the day of the hearing (Tuesday) with the subject line “Wage Threshold Hearing”. Each speaker will be limited to remarks lasting no longer than three minutes.
The meeting will be live streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook.
