To recognize and celebrate Wood & Brewer LLC as the 2026 recipient of the Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio’s outstanding service by a law firm award

WHEREAS, Wood & Brewer LLC is the 2026 recipient of the Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio’s Outstanding Service by a Law Firm Award; and
WHEREAS, Wood & Brewer’s deeply personal approach to clients demonstrates their commitment to bringing hope to stressful moments in the client’s life. As a valued partner in LASCO’s Chapter 7 pro bono program since 2015, they have served clients facing bankruptcy and financial difficulty; and
WHEREAS, Both founders, Katy Brewer and Brian Wood, have consistently provided their time and expertise to LASCO and clients, granting access to justice and relief to many people; and
WHEREAS, With over 20 years of experience serving Central Ohio communities, Wood & Brewer provide clients with relief as they find solutions to financial and legal difficulties; and
WHEREAS, Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio is committed to searching out the patterns, causes of, and solutions to the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans and pursuing the legal recourse needed to address those problems; and
WHEREAS, Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio is comprised of advocates who are passionate about providing legal services to low-income individuals, and it is an honor and a privilege to work with an organization that is committed to making the daily lives of Columbus residents better - a fact exemplified by the service of people such as Wood & Brewer LLC; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council recognizes and celebrates Wood & Brewer LLC as the 2026 recipient of the Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio’s Outstanding Service by a Law Firm Award.
