To Recognize and Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Hope City Global and Its Faithful Service to the City of Columbus

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, Hope City Global was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 2011 under the visionary leadership of Bishop Brian M. Williams, with a commitment to cultivate healthy disciples, strengthen families, develop leaders, serve the community, and carry the hope of Jesus from neighborhoods to nations; and

WHEREAS, for fifteen years, Hope City has served as a diverse and multi-generational faith community committed to loving God, serving people, and developing disciples who follow Jesus, are transformed by His presence and Word, and are equipped to participate meaningfully in His mission; and

WHEREAS, Hope City has maintained a deep commitment to the City of Columbus, believing that a healthy church should contribute to the health and well-being of the community it serves through compassion, justice, generosity, civic engagement, and practical service to individuals and families; and

WHEREAS, through Bishop Williams’ leadership and the faithful service of generations of pastors, leaders, members, volunteers, ministry partners, and community supporters, Hope City has become a place where individuals and families have found faith, community, purpose, restoration, and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others; and

WHEREAS, the celebration of Hope City’s 15th Anniversary on August 30, 2026, represents a significant milestone in the life of the congregation and an opportunity to honor fifteen years of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, growth, service, and impact throughout Columbus and beyond; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby recognizes and celebrates the 15th Anniversary of Hope City Global, honor Bishop Brian M. Williams for fifteen years of faithful and visionary leadership as its founder and Senior Pastor, and express its sincere appreciation to the entire Hope City family for its enduring commitment to faith, discipleship, prayer, service, leadership development, community transformation, and carrying hope throughout the City of Columbus and to the nations.
