Background: This ordinance amends Ordinance 2016-2024. As a result of a change in business classification, tax identification number, and vendor profile, the principal party shall change from Ralph J. Kramer DBA Kramer Engineers, Vendor 004629, to Kramer Engineers Company, Vendor 051607. This action is needed in order to transfer the contract associated with PO463674 to the new vendor profile so invoices and payments can continue to be processed in a timely manner.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend ordinance 2016-2024, in order to authorize the change from Ralph J. Kramer DBA Kramer Engineers, Vendor 004629, to Kramer Engineers Company, Vendor 051607, within the ordinance in order to transfer the contract associated with PO463674 to the new vendor profile; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operations of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the amendment of Ordinance 2016-2024 and transfer of the contract associated with PO463674 to the new vendor profile to avoid delays with processing invoices and payments associated with this project that is in progress, all for the preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare and, NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 2016-2024 is hereby amended to recognize a change in a vendor's name from Ralph J. Kramer DBA Kramer Engineers, Vendor 004629, to Kramer Engineers Company, Vendor 051607, within the ordinance as follows, with additions in underline and deletions in strikethrough:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Recreation and Parks is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Kramer Engineers Kramer Engineers Company to provide professional services associated with the Lighting Improvements 2023-2024 Project.
SECTION 2. That existing Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2016-2024 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That all other provisions within ordinance 2016-2024 shall remain the same. This ordinance only amends the vendor’s business classification, tax identification number, and vendor profile associated with 2016-2024.
SECTION 4. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
