Explanation
 
The City of Columbus has been asked to accept various DEEDS, dedicate those parcels of real property for the purpose of road right-of-way, and to name that property as a public road.  Ohio Revised Code Chapter 723.03 requires that property to be used as a public street or alley must be accepted and dedicated as public right-of-way by an ordinance specially passed for such purpose.
The following legislation provides for the City to accept various deeds for parcels of real property, dedicate the parcels as road right-of-way and name the parcels as public roadways.

To accept various DEEDS for real property to be used as road right-of-way and to dedicate and name those properties as Chambers Road, Emrick Road, McCutcheon Road, an unnamed alley near Fire Station 18, Thompson Road, an unnamed alley north of East Broad Street, from Ohio Avenue to the alley west, Kennedy Road, Norton Road, North Meadows Boulevard, Postlewaite Road, Sullivant Avenue, Henderson Road, Sawmill Road, Cassady Avenue, Cassady Avenue, Winchester Pike and Hamilton Road, Avery Road and Fisher Road.

WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Chapter 723.03 requires that property to be used as a public street or alley must be accepted and dedicated as public right-of-way by an ordinance specially passed for such purpose; and
 
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus has been asked to accept various DEEDS, dedicate those parcels of real property for the purpose of road right-of-way, and to name that property as a public road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a HIGHWAY EASEMENT recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on August 23, 2004 as Instrument Number 200408230196805, DRAYTON COURT LLC, an Ohio limited liability company has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Chambers Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on June 20, 2005 as Instrument Number 200506200118982, THIRD GEN, INC., an Ohio corporation, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way Emrick Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a LIMITED WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on June 1, 2005 as Instrument Number 200506010106006, ABBOTT LABORATORIES, an Illinois corporation, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of McCutcheon Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on June 18, 2004 as Instrument Number 200406180141528, MINNIE L. PRYSOCK, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of an unnamed alley near Fire Station 18; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on February 4, 2005 as Instrument Number 200502040022202, DANIEL J. GALIARDI, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Thompson Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a QUITCLAIM DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on May 26, 2005 as Instrument Number 200505260101426, COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY, an Ohio metropolitan housing authority, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of an unnamed alley north of East Broad Street from Ohio Avenue to the alley west; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on March 30, 2005 as Instrument Number 200503300058338, WOODS AT JEFFERSON, LTD., an Ohio limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Kennedy Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on March 30, 2005 as Instrument Number 200503300058340, DEWCAR DEVELOPMENT LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Norton Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on March 15, 2005 as Instrument Number 200503150047772, COLUMBUS-MEADOWS LLC, a Florida limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of North Meadows Boulevard; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a FIDUCIARY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on March 15, 2005 as Instrument Number 200503150047771, RICHARD A. LEASURE and HELEN M. LEASURE, Trustees, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Postlewaite Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on May 9, 2005 as Instrument Number 200505090087374, GEORGESVILLE RETAIL CENTER, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Sullivant Avenue; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on May 9, 2005 as Instrument Number 200505090087366, COLUMBUS-KENNEY, LLC, a Florida limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Henderson Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on May 9, 2005 as Instrument Number 200505090087368, THE RESERVE AT SAWMILL PARK, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Sawmill Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on May 9, 2005 as Instrument Number 200505090087374, SANDRO TREONZE and PASQUALE A. GIAMMARCO, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Cassady Avenue; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on April 27, 2005 as Instrument Number 200504270078726, SANDRO TREONZE and PASQUALE A. GIAMMARCO, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Cassady Avenue; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on March 29, 2005 as Instrument Number 200503290057673, PLAZA GRB HAMILTON ROAD, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Winchester Pike and Hamilton Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on January 4, 2005 as Instrument Number 200501040002425, JAMES J. MORO, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Avery Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      by virtue of a GENERAL WARRANTY DEED recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office, on December 1, 2004 as Instrument Number 200412010273812, MIDWEST TERMINAL COMPANY, a Delaware corporation, has deeded property to the City of Columbus, to be used for the right-of-way of Fisher Road; and
 
WHEREAS,      the City desires to accept these deeds for property which will be used for road right-of-way; now, therefore
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
Section 1.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached HIGHWAY EASEMENT from DRAYTON COURT LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Chambers Road.
 
Section 2.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from THIRD GEN, INC., an Ohio corporation, and shall be dedicated and named Emrick Road.
 
Section 3.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached LIMITED WARRANTY DEED from ABBOTT LABORATORIES, an Illinois corporation, and shall be dedicated and named McCutcheon Road.
 
Section 4.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from MINNIE L. PRYSOCK, and shall be dedicated as an unnamed alley near Fire Station 18.
 
Section 5.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from DANIEL J. GALIARDI, and shall be dedicated and named Thompson Road.
 
Section 6.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached QUITCLAIM DEED from COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY, an Ohio metropolitan housing authority, and shall be dedicated as an unnamed alley north of East Broad Street from Ohio Avenue to the alley west.
 
Section 7.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from WOODS AT JEFFERSON, LTD., an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Kennedy Road.
 
Section 8.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from DEWCAR DEVELOPMENT LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Norton Road.
 
Section 9.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from COLUMBUS-MEADOWS LLC, a Florida limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named North Meadows Boulevard.
 
Section 10.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached FIDUCIARY DEED from RICHARD A. LEASURE and HELEN M. LEASURE, Trustees, and shall be dedicated and named Postlewaite Road.
 
Section 11.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from GEORGESVILLE RETAIL CENTER, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Sullivant Avenue.
 
Section 12.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from COLUMBUS-KENNEY, LLC, a Florida limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Henderson Road.
 
Section 13.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from THE RESERVE AT SAWMILL PARK, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Sawmill Road.
 
Section 14.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from SANDRO TREONZE and PASQUALE A. GIAMMARCO, and shall be dedicated and named Cassady Avenue.
 
Section 15.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from SANDRO TREONZE and PASQUALE A. GIAMMARCO, and shall be dedicated and named Cassady Avenue.
 
Section 16.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from , PLAZA GRB HAMILTON ROAD, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, and shall be dedicated and named Winchester Pike and Hamilton Road.
 
Section 17.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from JAMES J. MORO, and shall be dedicated and named Avery Road.
 
Section 18.      That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property more fully described in the attached GENERAL WARRANTY DEED from MIDWEST TERMINAL COMPANY, a Delaware corporation, and shall be dedicated and named Fisher Road.
 
Section 19.      That all of these properties shall be used for road right-of-way purposes.
 
Section 20.      That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
