Title: To decrease the imprest petty cash operating fund by $1,450.00; and to reduce the number of petty cash drawers by four (4) in the Administration and Customer Service sections of the Department of Building and Zoning Services. ($1,450.00)

Explanation

This legislation authorizes a decrease in the authorized amount of the imprest petty cash operating fund and number of cash drawers for the Administration and Customer Service sections of the Department of Building and Zoning Services. These changes are to account for the reduction of in-person cash transactions accepted by the Customer Service Center, as most business activity is now occurring online. This ordinance will reduce the imprest petty cash operating fund by $1,450.00, from $3,650.00 to $2,200.00, and decrease the number of cash drawers by four (4), from ten (10) to six (6), to align with the current and forecasted staffing levels necessary for the acceptance of customer transactions.

FISCAL IMPACT: The excess petty cash will be deposited to the Development Services Fund. ($1,450.00)
