Explanation

 

Background: This ordinance amends Ordinance 2967-2025. As a result of a change in business classification, tax identification number, and vendor profile, the principal party shall change from Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects Consulting, LLC, Vendor 041113, to Accenture LLP DBA Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects LLC, Vendor 023429. This action is needed in order to transfer the contract associated with 2967-2025 to the new vendor profile so the contract, invoices, and payments can continue to be processed in a timely manner.

Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested in order to avoid delays with processing the contract, invoices and payments associated with 2967-2025 as this project is in progress.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Ordinance 2967-2025, in order to authorize the change from Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects Consulting, LLC, Vendor 041113, to Accenture LLP DBA Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects LLC, Vendor 023429, within the ordinance in order to transfer the contract associated with 2967-2025 to the new vendor profile; and

 

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operations of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the amendment of Ordinance 2967-2025 and transfer of the contract to the new vendor profile to avoid delays with processing the contract, invoices, and payments associated with this project that is in progress, all for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare and, NOW, THEREFORE

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

 

SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 2967-2025, in order to authorize the change from Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects Consulting, LLC, Vendor 041113, to Accenture LLP DBA Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects LLC, Vendor 023429, within the ordinance as follows, with additions in underline and deletions in strikethrough:

 

SECTION 1. That the Director of the Recreation and Parks Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects Consulting, LLC Accenture LLP DBA Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects LLC to provide construction management and inspection services for the Case Road Park Project.

 

SECTION 2. That existing Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2967-2025 is hereby repealed.

 

SECTION 3. That all other provisions within ordinance 2967-2025 shall remain the same. This ordinance only amends the vendor’s business classification, tax identification number, and vendor profile associated with 2967-2025.

 

SECTION 4. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
