Background: This ordinance authorizes a supplemental appropriation of $107,385.63 from the unappropriated balance of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk computer fund; to authorize and direct the Director of Finance and Management on behalf of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk to establish a purchase order for the purchase of server equipment. The purchase order will be made from a universal term contract (UTC), FL003923 with Resource One Computer Systems, Inc.; expiration date: March 31, 2011.

Whereas, this ordinance will allow the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk to appropriate said funds within the unappropriated balance of the Municipal Court Clerk computer fund; and
Whereas, that the funds are available within the Municipal Court Clerk computer fund; and
Whereas, this ordinance authorizes and directs the Director of Finance and Management to establish a purchase order on behalf of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk for the purchase server equipment; and
Whereas, the current equipment is obsolete and no longer meets the needs of the Clerk's office; and
Whereas, an emergency exists in the daily operations of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk in that it is immediately necessary to appropriate said funds to purchase said procurement from a universal term contract (UTC) with Resource One Computer Systems, Inc. for the preservation of the public health, peace, safety, and welfare, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance and Management on behalf of the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk be and is hereby authorized to establish a purchase order for the provision of server equipment from a universal contract with Resource One Computer Systems, Inc.
Sections 2. That from the unappropriated monies in the Municipal Court Clerk computer fund and from all monies estimated to be deposited into said fund, the sum of $107,385.63 be and is hereby appropriated within the Clerk's computer fund 227, subfund 02, organization 2601, oca code 260208, object level one- 06, object level three - 6649 - $107,385.63.
Section 3. That the expenditure of $107,385.63 or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby authorized to be expended from the Municipal Court Clerk computer fund 227, subfund 02, organization 2601, oca code 260208, object level one- 06, object level three - 6649 - $107,385.63.
Section 4. That for reasons stated in the preamble hereto, where is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure, which shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approved by the Mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
