Explanation
Columbus City Council accepted a plat titled Hayden Farms, Section 1, on March 2, 2005. Holly River Drive, one of the streets shown on this plat, is a continuation of a street shown on the plat titled Haydens Crossing, Section 2, Part 2, and identified on that plat as Holly River Avenue. To provide for the safety and security of the citizens who will live along this street, the street name should be consistent on both plats. The Public Service Department, Transportation Division, recently received a request from M/I Homes of Central Ohio, LLC, asking that that right-of-way currently identified as Holly River Drive on the plat titled Hayden Farms, Section 1 be changed to Holly River Avenue. M/I Homes of Central Ohio, LLC currently owns all of the lots abutting this right-of-way therefore making the street name consistent on both plats should not present a hardship to anyone if this proposed name change is completed before development of this neighborhood progresses any further.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 0298-2005, Columbus City Council accepted the plat titled Hayden Farms, Section 1, on March 2, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Holly River Drive, one of the streets shown on this plat, is a continuation of a street shown on the plat titled Haydens Crossing, Section 2, Part 2, and identified on that plat as Holly River Avenue; and
WHEREAS, to provide for the safety and security of the citizens who will live along this street, the street name should be consistent on both plats; and
WHEREAS, the Public Service Department, Transportation Division, recently received a request from M/I Homes of Central Ohio, LLC, asking that that right-of-way currently identified as Holly River Drive on the plat titled Hayden Farms, Section 1 be changed to Holly River Avenue; and
WHEREAS, M/I Homes of Central Ohio, LLC currently owns all of the lots abutting this right-of-way, therefore making the street name consistent on both plats should not present a hardship to anyone, if this proposed name change is completed before development of this neighborhood progresses any further; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Division would like to recommend the proposed name change be approved; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the right-of-way currently identified as Holly River Drive on the plat titled Hayden Farms, Section 1, be and hereby is changed to Holly River Avenue.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
