Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a contract with Cues Incorporated for Telemonitoring Self-Propelled Transporter and Cameras. The equipment will be used to upgrade the five (5) Telemonitoring Vehicles currently used by the Sewer Maintenance Operations Center. The vehicles are used to inspect sewer lines and this equipment will allow for the crews to inspect small and large sewer lines without changing equipment.
The Purchasing Office opened formal bids on November 11, 2005 for the Purchase of Telemonitoring Self-Propelled Transporter and Cameras (SA-001818), One (1) bid was received. A tabulation of that bid is as follows:

WHEREAS, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, Sewer Maintenance Operations Center utilizes five (5) Telemonitoring Vehicles that are used for Sewer Line Inspections, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office opened formal bids on November 11, 2005 for the Purchase of Telemonitoring Self-Propelled Transporter and Cameras (SA-001818), one (1) bid was received, and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be used to upgrade the current vehicles so that crews can inspect small and large sewer lines without changing equipment, and
WHEREAS, A purchase order will be issued in accordance with the terms and specifications of Solicitation Number: SA001818 on file in the Purchasing Office; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance and Management be and is hereby authorized to establish a purchase order with Cues Incorporated for the purchase of Telemonitoring Self-Propelled Transporter and Cameras for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, in accordance with specifications on file in the Purchasing Office.
Section 2. That the expenditure of $148,000.00 or so much thereof as may be needed, be and the same hereby is authorized from the Sewerage System Operating Fund, Fund No. 650, OCA 605089, Object Level 1:06, Object Level 03: 6651
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
