BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to modify three Not For Profit Service Contracts with Franklin County Public Health (Treasurer Franklin County) to extend the agreement term from December 31, 2025 to December 31, 2026, as part of a planned modification for lead risk inspection and assessor services.

The Department of Development advertised RFQ029435 on Vendor Services to provide lead risk inspection and assessor services on December 17, 2024 with bids being due on January 27, 2025 for the various Lead Safe programs that the Department of Development provides.
Franklin County Public Health was awarded the contract and authorized by Ordinance 0754-2025. The contract is authorized through the program year 2026 with the option to renew for one year periods until December 31, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT: No additional funding is necessary.

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Development executed three Not For Profit Service Contracts with Franklin County Public Health (Treasurer Franklin County) to provide lead risk inspection and assessor services; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation the agreement term needs to be extended for the three contracts in order to continue the program through December 31, 2026 as part of a planned modification; and NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of the Department of Development is hereby authorized to modify three Not For Profit Service Contracts with Franklin County Public Health (Treasurer Franklin County) to extend the agreement term as part of a planned modification to continue programmatic services through December 31, 2026.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
