Explanation

BACKGROUND:      The Board of Health has applied for a grant from the Ohio Department of  Health to fund the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program for the period October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.  The WIC budget provides $191,110 for the lease of real property to be used as clinic space for the WIC Program.   This Ordinance will allow the WIC Program to continue to lease space at 3850 Sullivant Avenue on a month to month basis for the period October 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT:      Because the new WIC Project cannot be created until Health receives the Notice of Award letter from ODH, it is necessary to establish this contract within the Health Special Revenue Fund.  The Health Special Revenue Fund will be reimbursed for the expense upon receipt of a Notice Of Award from ODH.  This grant does not generate revenue or require a City match.
