Explanation

DOMINION HOMES, INC., an Ohio corporation, by JOSEPH A. SUGAR III, Vice President - Land Acquisition, has submitted the plat titled VILLAGE AT PINE GROVE SECTION 1, PART 2 to the City Engineer's Office for review and approval. This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. The following legislation allows the City to accept said plat for property located west of Demorest Road and north of Big Run South Road.

To accept the plat titled CEDAR RUN SECTION 2 VILLAGE AT PINE GROVE SECTION 1, PART 2, from DOMINION HOMES, INC., an Ohio corporation, Member, by JOSEPH A. SUGAR III, Vice President - Land Acquisition and to declare an emergency.

Body:

WHEREAS, the plat titled CEDAR RUN SECTION 2 VILLAGE AT PINE GROVE SECTION 1, PART 2 from DOMINION HOMES, INC., an Ohio corporation, Member, by JOSEPH A. SUGAR III, Vice President - Land Acquisition (hereinafter "plat"), has been submitted to the City Engineer's Office for approval and acceptance; and

WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City to accept said plat; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service & Transportation in that it is immediately necessary to pass this ordinance as an emergency measure because the final plat will need to be recorded soon for the home buyers to be able to close on their lots for the preservation of the public health, peace property, safety, and welfare; now therefore

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

Section 1. That the plat titled CEDAR RUN SECTION 2 VILLAGE AT PINE GROVE SECTION 1, PART 2 on file in the office of the City Engineer, Transportation Division, be and the same is hereby accepted.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.  That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
