Title: To accept the plat titled "Huntington Park" from Buggyworks Development LLC., an Ohio limited liability company, by Kyle D. Katz, Managing Member, and The Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, by Mary Jo Kilroy, Paula Brooks and Marilyn Brown, County Commissioners; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation
 
Buggyworks Development LLC., an Ohio limited liability company, by Kyle D. Katz, Managing Member, and The Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, by Mary Jo Kilroy, Paula Brooks and Marilyn Brown, County Commissioners, has submitted the plat titled "Huntington Park".  This is a new subdivision containing Lot number 1, and an area designated as Reserve "A". Additionally, this plat vacates 0.028 acres of Nationwide Boulevard and 0.001 acres of Brodbelt Lane.  This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer.  The following legislation allows the City to accept said plat for property located north of Nationwide Boulevard and west of Neil Avenue.
 
Emergency Justification:  Emergency action is requested to allow site redevelopment and construction of the new ball park to proceed as currently scheduled.

Katz, Managing Member, and The Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, by Mary Jo Kilroy, Paula Brooks and Marilyn Brown, County Commissioners; and to declare an emergency.
 
Body
 
WHEREAS, the plat titled "Huntington Park" (hereinafter "plat"), has been submitted to the City Engineer's Office for approval and acceptance; and
 
WHEREAS, Buggyworks Development LLC., an Ohio limited liability company, by Kyle D. Katz, Managing Member, and The Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, by Mary Jo Kilroy, Paula Brooks and Marilyn Brown, County Commissioners, owners of the platted land, desire to dedicate to the public use all or such parts of the Boulevard, Avenue and Lane shown on said plat and not heretofore so dedicated; and
 
WHEREAS, additionally, this plat vacates 0.028 acres of Nationwide Boulevard and 0.001 acres of Brodbelt Lane; and
 
WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City to accept said plat; and
 
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Public Service Department, Transportation Division, in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the acceptance of this plat so site redevelopment and construction of the new ball park can proceed as currently scheduled thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; now, therefore
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
Section 1.  That the plat titled "Huntington Park", on file in the office of the City Engineer, Transportation Division, be and the same is hereby accepted.
 
Section 2.  That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
