Title

To authorize the transfer of $218,595.88 within the Safety Voted Bond Fund 701, to amend the 2004 CIB, and to declare an emergency. ($218,595.88)

Explanation

Background:

Need:            The Fire Division is in need to transfer $218,595.88 within projects of the Fire Division's Safety Bond Fund where funding is required.

Bid Information:      N/A

Contract Compliance:            N/A

Emergency Designation:            We are requesting this legislation be considered an emergency as legislation has been prepared to utilize those funds.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Budgeted Amount:            Funds are available in a project within the Division's current Capital Improvement Program that will allow the transfer of funds to another existing project that requires funding.

Body

WHEREAS, there is a need to provide funding for various Fire Capital Projects; and

WHEREAS, a transfer of funds between projects is necessary to allow expenditures to commence; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Safety, in that it is immediately necessary to transfer said funds, for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS

Section 1.      That the City Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to transfer funds within the Safety Voted Bond Fund as follows:
