Background:
Directions for Youth & Families, Inc. is a resiliency-oriented and trauma-informed agency that provides mental and behavioral health services through counseling and education.
Maryhaven, Inc. offers residential and outpatient services, medically assisted treatment, specialized programming for pregnant women and homeless adults, gambling intervention, cognitive behavioral and other proven therapies, and individual, group, and family counseling for adolescents and adults.
Ordinance 2969-2024 authorized the Director of Finance and Management to enter into Agreements with Directions for Youth & Families and Maryhaven.
This ordinance is needed to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to modify the aforementioned Agreements to extend the time period of the agreement due to unforeseen project delays.
Fiscal Impact: There is no additional funding required for this extension.

To authorize the Director of Finance and Management to modify the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Agreements for Directions for Youth & Families and Maryhaven in order to extend the Agreements through December 31, 2026. ($0.00)
Body
WHEREAS, through Ordinance 2969-2024, Council authorized the Director of Finance and Management to enter into Agreements with Directions for Youth & Families and Maryhaven; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement with Directions for Youth & Families provided a time period commencing January 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement with Maryhaven provided a time period commencing January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to extend these Agreements through December 31, 2026 due to unforeseen project delays; and
WHEREAS, no additional funding is required for this agreement modification; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Finance and Management is hereby authorized to extend the Agreements through December 31, 2026.
SECTION 2. That this modification is in accordance with relevant provisions of Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Codes.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
