Explanation
This legislation amends Ordinance 0119-2025, which was approved by Columbus City Council on February 3, 2025. That ordinance authorized the Director of the Department of Public Utilities to pay Delaware County for sewer services during Fiscal Year 2025 according to the terms of a 1991 agreement between the City of Columbus and Delaware County. The Fiscal Year in Section 1 was incorrectly stated as 2024 when it should have been 2025. This ordinance corrects the error.

WHEREAS, Ordinance 0119-2025 authorized the Director of Public Utilities to pay Delaware County for sewer services during Fiscal Year 2025 according to the terms of a 1991 agreement between the City of Columbus and Delaware County.; and
WHEREAS, after passage of Ordinance 0119-2025 it was determined that the Fiscal Year in Section 1 was incorrectly stated as 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Auditor’s Office and City Attorney’s Office request that Ordinance 0119-2025 be amended in order to correct the Fiscal Year in Section 1 to 2025 so the City Auditor’s Office and City Attorney’s Office may proceed with approving the Purchase Order to spend the funds authorized by ORD 0119-2025; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance 0119-2025 is hereby amended as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the Director of Public Utilities is hereby authorized to pay Delaware County, 50 Channing Street, Delaware, Ohio 43015, for the provision of sewer services during Fiscal Year 2024 2025 according to a 1991 agreement between the City of Columbus and Delaware County authorized by City Ordinance No. 2424-91 and later amended by City Ordinance Nos. 1418-2012 and 0961-2020."
SECTION 2. That existing Section 1 of Ordinance 0119-2025 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
