Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the City Clerk to enter into a grant agreement with All Nations Worship Assembly Columbus Ohio, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in support of the Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Intervention Program.
The Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Intervention Program provides Intensive Prevention Services geared towards early intervention programming for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 years old who have been exhibiting at-risk behaviors in school, home, or in the community, have discipline problems at school or recurring conflicts at home, or have been diverted from possible arrest or formal court involvement. The program aims to reduce youth violence, address mental health with professional help where and when necessary, and connect youth to professional support.
Fiscal Impact: Funding is available within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund.

To authorize the City Clerk to enter into a grant agreement with All Nations Worship Assembly Columbus Ohio, Inc. in support of the Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Intervention Program; and to authorize an appropriation and expenditure within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund. ($25,000.00)

WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Intervention Program provides Intensive Prevention Services geared towards early intervention programming for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 years old; and
WHEREAS, the target population includes youths that have been exhibiting at-risk behaviors in school, home, or in the community, have discipline problems at school or recurring conflicts at home; and
WHEREAS, the program aims to reduce youth violence, address mental health with professional help where and when necessary, and connect youth to professional support; and now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement with All Nations Worship Assembly of Columbus in support of the Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Intervention Program.
SECTION 2. That the Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to appropriate $25,000.00 within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund per the accounting codes in the attachment to this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That per the action authorized by Section 1 of this ordinance, the expenditure of $25,000.00 within the general fund, fund 1000, subfund 100018, is hereby authorized per the accounting codes in the attachment to this ordinance.
SECTION 4. That the City Auditor is authorized to make any accounting changes to revise the funding source for all contracts or contract modifications associated with this ordinance.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date allowable by law.
