Title: To authorize the Director of the Public Service Department to execute those documents required to release a portion of the platted easement located at the northeast corner of Lot 3 of the Sawmill Road Office Park subdivision.

Explanation
 
The Public Service Department, Transportation Division, recently received a request asking that the City release a portion of a platted easement located at the northeast corner of Lot 3 of the Sawmill Road Office Park subdivision.  Release of the requested portion of this platted easement will allow the easement line to essentially mirror the building setback line and will provide additional site development possibilities.  The Transportation Division contacted all utility companies, public and private, to verify that there are no utilities located within this area and that they have no objections to the requested release.  A $500.00 value was established for the portion of this easement to be released.  The following legislation authorizes the Director of the Public Service Department to execute those documents necessary to release a portion of the platted easement shown at the northeast corner of Lot 3 of the Sawmill Road Office Park subdivision plat, of record in Plat Book 58, Page 80, Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office.
 
The City will receive a total of $500.00, which will be deposited in Fund 748, Project 537650, as consideration for the release of the requested portion of this platted easement.

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus, Public Service Department, Transportation Division, recently received a request asking that the City release a portion of a platted easement located at the northeast corner of Lot 3 of the Sawmill Road Office Park subdivision; and
 
WHEREAS, release of the requested portion of this platted easement will allow the easement line to essentially mirror the building setback line and will provide additional site development possibilities; and
 
WHEREAS, the Transportation Division contacted all utility companies, private and public, to verify there are no utilities located within this area and that they have no objections to the requested release; and
 
WHEREAS, a $500.00 value was established for the portion of this easement to be released; now, therefore
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
Section 1.  That the Director of the Public Service Department be and is hereby authorized to execute those documents necessary to release a portion of the platted easement shown at the northeast corner of Lot 3 on the Sawmill Road Office Park plat, of record in Plat Book 58, Page 80, Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's Office and more fully described as follows:
 
Release of Easement - (0.058 Acre)
 
Situate in the State of Ohio, County Franklin, City of Columbus, lying in Quarter Township 1, Township 2, Range 19, United States Military Lands, being on, over, and across that Lot 3 of that subdivision entitled "Sawmill Road Office Park" of record in Plat Book 58, Page 80 as conveyed to F.I.G. Holding Co. by deed of record in Instrument Number 200603290058193 (all references refer to the records of the Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio), and described as follows:
Beginning, for reference, at the northerly common corner of said F.I.G. Holding Co. tract and that tract conveyed to S F & E Associates, Ltd. by deed of record in Instrument Number 200704170067041, being on the southerly right-of-way line of Farmers Drive (60');
Thence South 87° 08' 39" East, with said southerly right-of-way line, a distance of 297.60 feet to a point;
Thence South 02° 51' 21" West, across said Lot 3, a distance of 25.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence continuing across said Lot 3, the following courses and distances:
South 87° 08' 39" East, a distance of 19.21 feet to a point of curvature to the right;
with the arc of said curve, having a central angle of 86° 33' 19", a radius of 95.00 feet, an arc length of 143.51 feet, a chord bearing and distance of South 43° 53' 34" East, 130.25 feet to a point on the westerly line of an existing easement as shown on said "Sawmill Road Office Park";
North 45° 05' 58" West, with said westerly easement line, a distance of 127.79 feet to a point; and
North 76° 19' 23" West, continuing with said westerly line, a distance of 19.54 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.058 acre of land, more or less.
