Title
To authorize and direct the Director of Recreation and Parks to enter into contract with National Tree Care, LLC for the EAB Tree Removal Summer 2012 Project; to authorize the expenditure of $186,464.00 and a contingency of $13,536.00 for a total of $200,000.00 from the Voted Recreation and Parks Bond Fund; and to declare an emergency. ($200,000.00)
Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into contract with National Tree Care, LLC for the EAB Tree Removal Summer 2012 Project; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to enter into said contract to provide for this project to be conducted in the Spring for the preservation of public health, peace, property and safety; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Recreation and Parks be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with National Tree Care, LLC for the EAB Tree Removal Summer 2012 Project.
SECTION 2. That the expenditure of $200,000.00 or so much as may be necessary to pay the costs thereof is hereby authorized as follows:
Recreation and Parks Bond Fund 702, Project 510039-100002 (EAB), OCA#723902, Obj Level 3 6621
SECTION 3. That the City Auditor is authorized to make any accounting changes to revise funding source for all contracts or contract modifications associated with this ordinance.
SECTION 4. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or 10 days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
