Explanation
BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes an amendment to Ordinance No. 2940-2024, due to an incorrect vendor name listed in the ordinance.
The vendor name listed in Ordinance No. 2940-2024 is BWF Management Group, LLC, but should be Alisha Brown dba BWF Management Group, LLC per Auditor requirements. The legislation must be amended to allow execution of a valid contract agreement with the organization.
The contract compliance number for Alisha Brown is CC-049584.
Emergency action is requested in order to remain in alignment with the grant period and deliverables by not delaying the start of this contract. Any delay could result in reimbursement for services not being allowed per the grantor.
FISCAL IMPACT: No new expenditures are being authorized by this ordinance.

To amend Ordinance No. 2940-2024, passed November 18, 2024, to correct the vendor name listed in said Ordinance; and to declare an emergency.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2940-2024, passed November 18, 2024, authorized the Board of Health to enter into a contract with BWF Management Group, LLC; and
WHEREAS, BWF Management Group, LLC has since corrected their vendor account per Auditor requirements to Alisha Brown dba BWF Management Group, LLC; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the City in that it is immediately necessary to authorize an amendment to Ordinance No. 2940-2024 to correct the vendor name listed in that Ordinance so that the contract can remain in alignment with the grant period and deliverables, all for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; and NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1. of Ordinance 2940-2024, passed November 18, 2024, be amended to read as follows : “That the Board of Health is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Alisha Brown dba BWF Management Group, LLC for focus group facilitation services in an amount not to exceed $70,750.00 for the period of November 20, 2024 through March 1, 2025.”
SECTION 2. That the existing Section 1. of Ordinance 2940-2024 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
