Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify and increase the amount of a contract with the non-profit Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed, for mural painting and project coordination services on pump stations along the Olentangy River as set forth in the Scope of Services.
The term of this Contract is from date of execution until June 30, 2029. If unforeseen issues or difficulties are encountered that would require additional funding, a modification would be requested. This ordinance is the first modification of an agreement signed on March 4, 2024.

($48,950.00)

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Utilities, on behalf of the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, entered into a contract with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed for mural painting and project coordination services on pump stations along the Olentangy River; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to modify the contract to provide for additional services; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of $48,950.00, or so much thereof as may be needed, is hereby authorized in Fund 6100, Sewerage and Drainage Operating Fund, in object class 03, Services, per the accounting codes attached to the ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of the Department of Public Utilities is hereby authorized to modify the contract with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed for mural painting and project coordination services on pump stations along the Olentangy River on behalf of the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, to increase the contract amount by $48,950.00.
SECTION 2. That the expenditure of $48,950.00 or so much thereof as may be needed, is hereby authorized in Fund 6100, Sewerage and Drainage Operating Fund, in object class 03, Services, per the accounting codes attached to the ordinance.
SECTION 3. That the funds necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance are hereby deemed appropriated and the City Auditor shall establish such accounting codes as necessary.
SECTION 4. That the City Auditor is authorized to make any accounting changes to revise the funding source for all contracts or contract modifications associated with this ordinance.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowable by law.
