Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contracts Purchase Agreements for the rental of construction equipment with operator.
The Purchase Agreement associations listed require approval by City Council in order for the division to expend more than $100,000.00, per Columbus City Code Chapter 329.

Fiscal Impact: $50,000.00 is available from within the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund.

Title
To authorize the Director of the Department of Finance and Management to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the rental of construction equipment with operator for the Division of Water Reclamation; and to authorize the expenditure of $50,000.00 from the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund. ($50,000.00)

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office established Universal Term Contracts for the rental of construction equipment with operator; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the expenditure of $50,000.00 for the rental of construction equipment with operator; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities to authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate current and pending Purchase Agreements for the rental of construction equipment with operator; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of the Department of Finance and Management be and is hereby authorized to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the rental of construction equipment with operator.
SECTION 2. That the funds necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance are hereby deemed appropriated, and the City Auditor shall establish such accounting codes as necessary.
SECTION 3. That for the purpose stated in Section 1, the expenditure of $50,000.00 or so much thereof as may be needed, be and is hereby authorized in object class 03 Services within the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund, per the accounting codes in the attachment to this ordinance.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
