Need: The Division of Police needs to establish a contract to provide an automated Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Sick Leave information management system to assist the Division in monitoring and calculating all injury, short term disability and sick leave. This system will enable accurate tracking in relation to FMLA.
Bid Information: Formal Bid # SA002774 was opened on February 20, 2008. One response was received from RightStuff Software and they met all the specifications. The Division of Police wishes to award to Right Stuff Software as the most responsive, responsible and best bidder. The total amount of this contract will be $35,000.00.

FISCAL IMPACT: Since this purchase will be made with Law Enforcement Contraband Seizure Funds, there will be no effect on the financial status of the General Fund. $35,000.00 has been appropriated for this purchase through the Law Enforcement Contraband Seizure Funds.

WHEREAS, the Division of Police needs to establish a contract to provide an automated Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Sick Leave information management system; and
WHEREAS, a formal bid opening was held on February 20, 2008 for Family Medical Leave Act and Sick Leave Tracking System for the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, one response was received and RightStuff Software was the most responsive, responsible and best bidder; and
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Public Safety Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with RightStuff Software for the purchase of Family Medical Leave Act and Sick Leave Tracking System for the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, based on the above supplier being the most responsive, responsible and best bidder.
SECTION 2. That the expenditure of $35,000.00 or so much thereof as may be needed, be and the same is hereby authorized as follows:
