Explanation

 

BACKGROUND:  This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the following Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements listed below for the OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring Parts & Service for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage.  The Division of Sewerage and Drainage requires parts for Series 3500, 4000, and Flowshark meters.  This equipment is used to monitor the flow of storm water throughout the City’s sewage system.  

 

Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements:

The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.  

 

FISCAL IMPACT:  $115,000.00 is budgeted and needed for this purchase.

Title

 

To authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase of OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring parts for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage; and to authorize the expenditure of $115,000.00 from the Sewerage System Operating Fund.  ($115,000.00)

 

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office has established Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase of OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring Parts and Service; and

 

WHEREAS, the OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring parts will provide for the purchase of Series 3500, 4000, and Flowshark meters used to monitor the flow of storm water throughout the City’s sewage system; and 

 

WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase of OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring Parts; thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore

 

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

 

SECTION 1.  That the Finance and Management Director be, and is hereby, authorized to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for the purchase OEM ADS Environmental Flow Monitoring Parts.

 

SECTION 2.  That the expenditure of $115,000.00 or so much thereof as may be needed, be and is hereby authorized in Fund 6100 Sewerage System Operating Fund in object class 02 Materials and Supplies per the accounting codes in the attachment to this ordinance.

 

SECTION 3.  That the funds necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance are hereby deemed appropriated, and the City Auditor shall establish such accounting codes as necessary.

 

SECTION 4.  That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
