Title: To accept the plat titled WAVERLY COURT ADDITION, from COLUMBUS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP INC., an Ohio corporation, by ROBERT CLAY, CFO and to declare an emergency.
Explanation
 
COLUMBUS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP INC., an Ohio corporation, by ROBERT CLAY, CFO, has submitted the plat titled WAVERLY COURT ADDITION to the City Engineer's Office for review and approval.  This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer.  The following legislation allows the City to accept said plat for property located east off of Waverly Street at Fulton Street.

To accept the plat titled WAVERLY COURT ADDITION, from COLUMBUS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP INC., an Ohio corporation, by ROBERT CLAY, CFO and to declare an emergency.
 
 
Body:
 
 
WHEREAS, the plat titled WAVERLY COURT ADDITION (hereinafter "plat"), has been submitted to the City Engineer's Office for approval and acceptance; and
 
WHEREAS, COLUMBUS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP INC., an Ohio corporation, by ROBERT CLAY, CFO, owner of the platted land, desires to dedicate to the public use all or such parts of the Court shown on said plat and not heretofore so dedicated; and
 
WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City to accept said plat;  and now, therefore
 
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service and Transportation in that it is immediately necessary to pass this ordinance as an emergency measure because of the need to expedite the sale of the the lots and allow for the submittal of building permits for new home construction during construction of the infrastructure; now therefore
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
Section 1.      That the plat titled WAVERLY COURT ADDITION on file in the office of the City Engineer, Transportation Division, be and the same is hereby accepted.
 
Section 2.      That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.  That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
