Title: To authorize the Director of the Department of Finance and Management to establish a contract with Ace Truck Body, Inc. for the purchase and installation of snow and lighting equipment for the Division of Infrastructure Management; to authorize the expenditure of $94,975.00 from the Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund; and to declare an emergency. Explanation
1. BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a contract with Ace Truck Body, Inc. for the purchase and installation of snow and lighting equipment on five (5) city supplied trucks for the Department of Public Service. This equipment will be used by the Division of Infrastructure Management to clear snow from City of Columbus streets and public right of way.

The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of City Code Chapter 329 relating to competitive bidding (RFQ025047). Registered vendors were solicited and two (2) bids were received. After reviewing the bids, the Division of Infrastructure recommends an award be made to Ace Truck Body, Inc. in the amount of $94,975.00 as the responsive, responsible, best, and lowest bidder.
