To celebrate the grand opening of Goodwill Columbus’s Clintonville Retail and Job Training Center.

WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus celebrated the highly-anticipated grand opening of its 17,000 square-foot retail store, donation center, and training facility on July 20th, 2023; and,

 

WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus is devoted to offering no-cost job training and career coaching, providing individuals with pathways to independence and the power of work; and,

 

WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus trains workers in a variety of fields, including business, hospitality, healthcare, information technology, and more; and,

 

WHEREAS, Goodwill Columbus proudly provides person-centered, employment-focused services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering job certifications, vocational habilitation, day services, and in-home care for the individuals they serve; and,

 

WHEREAS, A strong community partner, Goodwill Columbus’s new training facility will be an asset for not only Clintonville, but all of Columbus and its workforce; and,

 

WHEREAS, the grand opening of this Goodwill Columbus retail store, donation center, and training facility illustrates the increasing importance of workforce development opportunities and will aid in improving the lives of many residents of Columbus; now, therefore:

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby celebrate the grand opening of Goodwill Columbus’s Clintonville Retail and Job Training Center, and supports their initiatives that promote workforce development and empower residents of Columbus.
