To Recognize and Honor the life of Richard Dwayne Little, and expresses our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones

WHEREAS, Columbus Division of Police Officer Richard Dwayne Little passed on Tuesday October 19, 2021 at the age of 51 after a hard fought battle with cancer; and
WHEREAS, Officer Little was a 1988 graduate of London High School and a 1997 graduate of the Columbus Police Academy; and
WHEREAS, Officer Little served as a patrol officer with the Columbus Division of Police for 25 years until his retirement on October 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, In his free time, Officer Little enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the NRA and the Raymond United Methodist Church. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes, but most of all, he cherished his time spent with his family, especially his children; and
WHERAS, Officer Little will be remembered for his commitment to the Columbus community and his love of family. Dwayne was a loving husband to his wife, Stephanie, and a loving father to his children, Emily and Brody; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and honor the life of Columbus Police Officer Richard Dwayne Little, and expresses our sincere condolences to his family, his Division of Police colleagues, and loved ones.
