Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management, on behalf of the Director of Public Service, to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreement for the purchase of eight (8) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Automated Side Loading (ASL) Waste Trucks. This purchase has been approved by the Division of Fleet Management.
The Department of Public Service, Division of Refuse Collection, uses ASL trucks in city-wide residential trash pick-up. The Department of Public Service and Fleet Management recognize the need to replace older trucks in its fleet beyond the useful service life of the vehicle. This purchase will replace eight (8) refuse trucks that have reached the end of their useful service life. Three (3) Autocar ACX64 / Labrie 20+0 CNG, and five (5) Autocar ACX64 / 20+6 CNG ASL refuse trucks.
The following Purchase Agreement association requires approval by City Council in order for the Division to expend more than $100,000.00 in a fiscal year per City Code 329.19(g):
Truck Country of Indiana dba Stoops Freightliner - Quality Trailer: Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreement, PA005651, Ordinance 3096-2021, for Automated Side Loading CNG Trucks.
Truck Country of Indiana dba Stoops Freightliner - Quality Trailer is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
2. CONTRACT COMPLIANCE INFORMATION
The contract compliance number for Truck Country of Indiana dba Stoops Freightliner - Quality Trailer is CC013531 and expires 11/19/2023.
3. FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available, appropriated and budgeted within the Refuse Bond Fund, Fund 7703.
