Explanation
BACKGROUND This legislation authorizes an amendment to Ordinance No. 1826-2023, passed by Columbus City Council on July 17, 2023, to allow for a correction of the funds granted to Dress for Success Columbus, by decreasing the total amount by $50,000.00. This reduction will make the total awarded be an amount up to $100,000.00
Ordinance No. 1826-2023, authorized the Director of the Department of Development to enter into a Grant Agreement with Dress for Success Columbus for Year 2 of the department’s Elevate 1.0 program to support and increase the organizational capacity of the non-profit organizations that experienced revenue loss caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was recently discovered that, due to a clerical error that Dress for Success Columbus was awarded an incorrect amount up to $150,000.00. The total of the grant amount should have been only up to $100,000.00 (a decrease of $50,000).
All other aspects of Ordinance No. 1826-2023 remains the same.
FISCAL IMPACT: $50,000.00 will be reduced from Ordinance No. 1826-2023 and made available for other grant opportunities within the budget.
CONTRACT COMPLIANCE: The vendor number is 001406 and the contract compliance date is 11/07/2024.
