Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department Public Service to close out the G591410 (Main Street at McNaughten Road 97197) grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the Intersection Improvements - Main Street at McNaughten Road PID 97197 project.

Ordinance 1393-2014 authorized the Director of the Department of Public Service to accept the Main Street at McNaughten Road grant and execute a grant agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation and to enter into contract with Korda/Nemeth Engineering, Inc. for the Intersection Improvements - Main Street at McNaughten Road project.
Ordinance 3009-2016 authorized the City Attorney's Office, Real Estate Division to hire professional services and to negotiate with property owners to acquire the various property rights necessary to complete the Intersection Improvements-Main Street at McNaughton Road project.
Ordinance 1950-2018 authorized the Director of the Department of Public Service to modify a professional services contract with Korda/Nemeth Engineering to add additional funds for design of the Intersection Improvements - Main Street at McNaughten Road project.
Ordinance 0923-2019 authorized the Director of the Department of Public Service to enter into contract with Shelly & Sands, Inc., for the Intersection Improvements - Main Street at McNaughten Road project and to provide payment for construction, construction administration and inspection services.
When completing the grant reconciliation for G591410 Main Street at McNaughten Road 97197, it was determined the grant was under charged for eligible expenses in both design and right of way costs. This ordinance allows the Director of the Department of Public Service to move expenses into grant number G591410 Main Street at McNaughten Road 97197 in order to complete final accounting and close the grant out.
