To Recognize and Celebrate Dads2B and their Commitment to Fatherhood

WHEREAS, research has shown fathers who are actively present from conception and onward significantly enhance the overall well-being of their children; and
WHEREAS, Dads2B are dedicated to overcoming obstacles and achieving successful outcomes through education and mentorship in maternal and infant health; and
WHEREAS, Dads2B are determined to be involved in their child’s life, ensuring their child reaches their first birthday and continues to thrive beyond; and
WHEREAS, Dads2B display their commitment by participating in co-ed prenatal sessions that promote safe sleep practices, healthy support systems for mothers during pregnancy, and foster a positive family structure; and
WHEREAS, as an ally Dads2B addresses the critical issue of infant mortality in Columbus through their Day 1 Dad Rally which unites fathers, community leaders, families and supporters; and
WHEREAS, on the precipice of Father’s Day, Dads2B is an exemplary organization that shows Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, story-tellers, and singers of song; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrates Dads2B and their commitment to fatherhood by making a positive impact and showcasing the vitality of fatherhood in our community.
