Title
To honor and recognize Franklin County Treasurer Richard Cordray for being named County Leader of the Year by American City and County Magazine.
Body
WHEREAS, Richard Cordray has served the citizens of Columbus and Franklin County as Franklin County Treasurer since 2002, and
WHEREAS, Richard Cordray has taken a fresh look at his duties and implemented innovative programs that have provided extra revenue to our schools and many social service providers, and
WHEREAS, Richard Cordray has worked to improve all citizens' understanding of their personal finances by taking leadership roles in the Columbus Saves and Money Smart programs, and
WHEREAS, it is Richard Cordray's innovative and fresh approach to the Office of Franklin County Treasurer that has earned him national acclaim as American City and County Magazines' County Leader of the Year, now; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That we applaud Richard Cordray for the diligence he has shown in performing his duties and the dedication he has shown to the citizens of the City of Columbus and Franklin County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Richard Cordray as a token of our esteem and appreciation.
