Explanation
BACKGROUND: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to enter into a contract for Pest Control services on behalf of Facilities Management Division with The Scherzinger Corp????oration. The services include the prevention of infestations, and to eradicate insects and rodents at various locations managed by Facilities Management.
The Facilities Management Division (FMD) solicited bids via RFQ032345 and received two formal bids for pest control services by the close of the RFQ on March 23, 2026. Action Pest Control was the overall lowest bidder. Due to the continued performance issues that FMD is having with the current UTC vendor, FMD has decided to go into contract with another vendor to provide City facilities with the best possible services. The second bidder, The Scherzinger Corporation, was selected as the overall best and most responsive bidder.
This contract was bid with four (4) annual contract renewal options. The initial term of this contract will be for the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027

Bid Waiver: Scherzinger Corporation has the experience needed to provide these services. They are the vendor the department currently uses for pest control services for the prevention of infestations and to eradicate insects and rodents.
